AVS Companies was founded in Chicago, Illinois, in 1971 by Frank Gumma Sr. as “American Vending Sales.” Originally started as a used vending machine sales shop, over the course of several decades, our company has expanded into a multi-branch, full-service distribution network serving the amusement, gaming, and unattended retail industries. To better reflect this transformation, our company was renamed “AVS Companies” in 2017. We are currently headquartered in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, where Frank’s son, Vince Gumma, now serves as president of the company. AVS has experienced many changes over the years, including product line expansions, company acquisitions, and the creation of new subsidiaries—but the one thing that has never changed is the DEDICATION that we provide to our customers.
